recently I have been finding it really difficult to understand and predict my emotions. One minute I’m fine the next I’m crying uncontrollably. It seems I’m triggers by anything for no reason. I just get really angry or really sad and I can’t stop it. What can I do? I’m seeing mental health specialist for this but it just seems to get worse and the better than worst again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

acceptance and awareness are my front line tools for this phenom. attempting to repress them in any way turns me into a walking time bomb. with acceptance, i can more easily go with the flow. with awareness, i can do what i gotta do with a fair amount of dignity and discretion. usually.

above all else, i remind myself often to be gentle with myself and patient with the process. berating myself for suffering a condition has yet to help.

Yeah, when I first got here learning the PTSD Stress Cup was very very helpful.

Helps you move from what I call the "mail slot of tolerance" to the "Window of tolerance". Meaning - managing that stuff gives you more room to operate and to be able to empty your cup before it overfills.

Sucks to be where you are at but learning to manage your stress cup will help.......
