Delayed Emotional Reaction

I think the nature of ptsd learned responses make this true. We hold it in - in order to survive and then when all feels safe enough I feel like there comes an emotional discharge.

It was like I could never cry through all the crap I went through - but the minute someone expressed kindness I would brawl like a baby.

Yep.

Calm in a crisis... And then I don't react until it's completely over (or there's a lull). Whether it's hours or years simply depends on how long the crisis goes on for. Or when I crack. When I crack things come out sideways.

Also, weirdly, I'm getting delayed positive stuff recently. After something exciting has passed, then I'm able to get all excited about it. Which is a bit of a head scratcher.
