Do You Believe In Astrology

I agree Nicolette, the Egyptians and a lot of other ancient civilisations worshipped the Sun, and they even believe Stonehenge has something to do with the druids and their beliefs.

I use essential oils too, by the way, and Chinese Herbalists mix all types of herbs and plants together with great success. For example, a good friend of mine had a severe allergic reaction to green mussels. Everything he tried did not work. He went to a Chinese Herbalist, and he mixed up this disgusting powder for which he had to take a teaspoon mixed with water every morning. You know, within 5 days, the rash was gone.

So I agree. Its up to the individual and what they believe in.

Jimmy,

You do make a very good point, in that sometimes it is way too easy to 'blame' the PTSD for some dynamic going on which one cannot get to the proverbial bottom of. The problem of course can occur when one wishes to obfuscate some truth with a nice, pat coating of PTSD. That is a tad off the main point you were getting at, I know, but it's a theme which tends to run through an awful lot of diagnosis. The PTSD made me do it, The addiction made me do it, etc., etc., ad nauseum.

I have to give creedance to your point also, however. Once in awhile in college I was actually paying attention and not drawing in a sketch pad. In Philosophy ( a class you'd think would have been a whole lot more intersting than it was ) we were presented with Kant's work. I remember one blurb after all these years because it pretty much tweaked my whole head around. "As something cannot be proven, neither can it be disproven. It must remain forever a ding an sic, a thing in itself, and in it's ultimate reality, unknowable". I'm not crazy about most of Kant's meanderings, but this one has just stuck with me. It seems to me just plain smug to discount the possibility OF possibilities, if that makes any sense.

The curious and hopeful in me would like to see what the possibilites are with a PTSD tie in 'all this'. Thanks for the thread!

A bit late here too...I don't believe or disbelieve but I do wonder at times hehehe. Just wanted to give a shout to all the Virgos out there! I agree that somehow we Virgos are a bit obsessive compulsive...I have to eat from the same plate every day...I use a smaller fork and knife...I always put socks and shoes on the left foot first...and, if by some weird chance I don't...I take them off and do it "properly"...

Well if the moon can affect the tides on the earth, and the human body is made up of over 50% water, 78% for babies, then its logical that we can be affected.

Jimmy

Food for thought, eh? There are those that believe that absolutely EVERYTHING in the universe - living and inanimate - have some subtle affect on one another. How open I am to that idea depends largely on how much sleep I've had ;D

For me, I am also a dyslexic, atheist, insomniac, and lay awake all night wondering if there really is a DOG.

Freaking hilarious ;D I'm gonna try to remember that one.

I agree that the power of the mind is quite significant. Why else would they go through such rigorous pains to rule out the "Placebo Effect" in drug trials. If it's so damned powerful, why don't they toss the dope, and focus on belief and the mind??? Thanks for the food for thought everyone.

Just my 2 cents,
Dave
