Do You Believe In Inherited Memories?

Do you believe it is possible to inherit memories from your parents/grandparents?

Just like certain phobias (arachnophobia) can be inherited. I think it is possible to a certain extent to inherit memories from your forefathers.

Yes, most definitely. I blame them for most of my crap!!

I think we pick up a lot of things energetically. I believe in Jung's idea of the collective unconscious, so there's a level where we're all connected in terms of knowledge, feelings and experiences, even if we're not aware of that. It would make sense to me that we might be more sensitive to energetic memories from our own family members, past or present.

There have been scientific observations along these lines with species or groups of animals. Like, a group of monkeys on one island learn some sort of new skill or adaptation, and groups of monkeys on other islands who have no physical contact with them suddenly all start doing the same thing.

Yes, I once gave my 4 or 5yr. old nephew a visualization of his Auntie (me) riding my moped down a playground slide. It was all in innocence and I was imagining how fun and exciting it would be to do and asked him if he thought that I could first get it to the top of the ladder to ride it on down. ;)

Apparently, he must of figured then that I was incredibly strong of an Auntie, because for many years he remembered the day I rode my moped down the playground slide. Only he never told me this until after, as a teen, he had re-evaluated whether it was ever possible that I could've done this before. :D

...Oh' I should add that for sometime, I was like a second Mommy to him in lots of ways.
