This gene variant changes how the body processes folate and depending on what source you read, it can affect everything from cancer to autoimmune disease to depression and anxiety.

It’s also very common. About 40% of the population has 1-2 mutations. Some have more.

I haven’t yet found any info on any link to PTSD. Thought I’d take a causal poll of sufferers here to see it any sufferers here have the mutation.

I have it. I haven't found research saying there is a connection, but my most recent psych Dr believed there was a connection.

Joe Cohen at Self Hacked has got some good information on the mutation, and has made a connection between lectin intolerance and PTSD as well.
