I shaked externally just today, it was weird. Its usually my inside where I feel everything.

When I have rougher periods in my life I have this little twitch in the corner of my eye I can´t control, sometimes on my cheek or lipcorners. I never told about this to any doctors, but it is probably tics (not ticks). But that´s just my opinion.

I usually shake for the first couple of hours when I get up. My legs are rubbery, and it feels weird/conspicuous if I have to walk in public. This is accompanied by anxiety, which varies in intensity from day to day. Good question

my shaking is cause by my diebites complecation sevice connect from my exposer to agent orange. i don't sake because of my ptsd. i paid a heavy toll in vietnam ptsd and diebetis in unprober war. that why i pray for all are find serviceman and woman. i know the problems they could have for serving are country. the price of freedom is not free.

I shake both externally and internally .... and have PTSD... the shaking gets really bad whenever I speak of my abuses and traumas/ or that of my chidren, which make me shake even more.

I only shake when I'm at work and I'm trying to be assertive. My abuser was my supervisor at three jobs over the course of 6 years. If I try to assert myself to my current supervisor (who is unaware of my experiences) regarding company policies, employment law, etc., and they dismiss what I have to say, I start shaking, but I'm not sure if it's external or just internal. It definitely gives me the jitters and makes my throat swell up, though. The last time my boss challenged my request, I raised my voice and told him he needs to respect his employees and respect company policy and the law. He argued that the spirit of the law was more important than the letter of the law. I said that the spirit of the law is to respect employees, and that he wasn't doing that. I told him very forcefully that I demand his respect, and that it requires him to follow the letter of the law when he's around me. He said okay and walked off. I felt pretty good. :)

It's like waking up with a feeling that you can't open your eyes. I know there is sweat in odd places and my body is not at ease but there is nothing I can do about it. I rationalise that the brain chemicals are going biserk for whatever reason they have decided this week. I have to say that nightmare exposure therapy has helped and also reiki. If I do something new I can feel it internally, if I have nightmares it is external.

The biological nature of it all is good to focus on. The therapist described it as the fight or flight chemicals having gone wrong. I rationalise it by saying the chemicals have just gone wrong. I also have reiki to help meditate and that switches the chemicals back, it's very good. I have had hypno/relaxation to prevent substance addiction because the physiological stuff is often connected to the chemicals that you take too.

Biggest Hugs to everyone who is experiencing this stuff xxx

I shake more often that not. I was told that some of my medication could cause this. I never thought that PTSD might be the cause. Thanks for the poll!

I don't do it as often as I used to but when I would get very anxious I would shake..what in medical terms is called "course tremors". My muscles would almost spasm, and my stomach would spasm so much I would retch and then dry heave. Thank God the older I get the less it happens. It is horrible.

I had a hard time voting because I shake externally but I am also hypglycemic. So I put I don't shake because I've never thought it was related to CPTSD....but, something to think about. Thanks!
