Do you talk to yourself and others in your head?

I do this alot. I have conversations with other people and I fuss at myself in my head alot. Anybody else?

All the time. Or I'll have a full conversation planned out before it happens and get confused when it doesn't go how I expected/planned it to, hah.

That's the thing, I never have the actual conversation. It stays in my head.

Ugh. I have been doing this forever.

I also picture how things will turn out.

Funnily enough it is a skill that really helps sometimes....giving lectures, interviews and even competing with my dogs.

Sometimes it brings me to tears.

I told myself a joke today in my head and i was laughing. I talk to others too in my head but usually its one way chatter.
This started after my TBI and PTS....

I have been caught few times where someone would snap me out of it.... they interupt my head dialogue.

I think everyone talks to themself. Its normal. (Head is talking to me "yea its normal like farting. Only the brave own up to it.....")

Weird is good. Who wants to be boring? I fuss at myself too.

especially before an appointment with someone.. i have this conversation in my head over and over. and then the real one is totally different. or i just forget to say what i had in mind...

I do too but it's not very pleasant because either i'm planning my next step or scolding myself over the smallest little thing (funny how that sounds just like my mother).
My therapist says this is a common trait of PTSD.

Yes, I think is something I have done all my life. Either I am talking to the voices in my head, curious about them, or talking to someone I am about to have a conversation with (or someone I have recently had one with).

I do this all the time.Even when I am in my therapy sessions I will sit there having a conversation with myself in my head.
