Poll Does Anyone Have ADHD in Addition to PTSD?

I have been diagnosed with ADHD since I was 9. The thing is, I had the ADHD before the PTSD. And actually I haven't been officially diagnosed with PTSD but my T says she is very sure I have it. I show a lot of the signs. She says in the nest few sessions she will evaluate me but she says it is very probable.
I joined this site to help me with the signs and symptoms of the probable PTSD.

Yep, I was diagnosed with ADHD subtype inattentive along with PTSD and MDD. Whether the ADHD was there before the PTSD is unknown since I was diagnosed with both at the same time.

I'm diagnosed as ADHD: combined type. I have the inattention as well as mild hyperactivity. My family didn't believe I had ADHD until I was formally diagnosed (which I went to the doctor myself about this after a professor spoke to me about the possibility of me having the disorder).

I was diagnosed with PTSD a year or two later but lately I've begun to think I've shown signs of both disorders most of my life and my parents just never noticed.

Well, for me the advantage to diagnosis was that it negated the confusion and a lot of the personal angst or beating myself up/thinking I was crazy. There was a problem, it had a name, there were ways to learn to cope and manage, there was a generally good prognosis for a better life than I was experiencing.

It helped me to know, with the ADHD diagnosis, that I wasn't unintelligent or incapable of doing work or staying on task. I stopped being as angry with myself and started to understand that my brain works in a different way than other people.

I have since been dx with PTSD, I have also been having some dissociative symptoms and other scary things...

I have ADHD and PTSD. Adderall that I take for it helps with my PTSD symptoms during the day, but if I take it later in the day I notice an increase in the intensity of my flashbacks (complete re-experiencing).

I have c-PTSD and ADHD, both pretty severely at the point. The cPTSD is from chold hood trauma and the ADHD, we'll I was born with. It took me a long time to get diagnosed but now, at 23 I'm finally diagnosed and trying to get the right medication to assist me with both.
