I have noticed something. I go therapy and we talk. He gives tells me his insights, I answer his questions, etc etc..for a very long 60 minutes. I sit there thinking, "Great, I've wasted another 60 minutes, none of this makes sense and is not helpful at all!"
Then I leave and I keep thinking on it and eventually it just kind of clicks and makes complete sense. That happened today. I left upset and unhappy and then a few hours later, when I was at work I completely understood what he was trying to get at.
I feel like the therapist expects this to happen immediately, while I'm sitting there. Does the light bulb just turn on right away when you guys are in therapy or does it take a while for you guys too? I'm just curious if I'm slow or normal. Thanks.
