Donation Challenge - Annual Server Costs - Can We Do It?

I'm one of those who use the site all the time and hadn't donated to its costs. I've corrected that now - good idea to try and front load the costs as much as possible.

Bugger I just chucked money on the go fund me and I shouldn't have. The only reason I did that was because if I had stuck it in the monthly one I thought no one else would add to it as it would have been up to the total. Sorry Anthony I will put it in the monthly one this week.

Can you change the total this month for the yearly total and see how that goes for the month ?

Yes I found that last week I got a pre paid internet card from the post office cost $5.00 and I could load any amount I wanted to. It was so easy.

Okay, I'll look into that. It says on the donation page that you have to have a PayPal account. I tried setting one up once and as I recall didn't finish the process because I got uncomfortable with all the personal information they were asking me for. I just tried to log in to make sure that is true and they tell me I don't have an account, so I guess it must be. Pre-paid Internet card, okay, I'll check it out.

You can use a bank card instead on the gofundme site I think.

I just reread your post sorry can you pay by visa as well as PayPal on this site or only the go fund me site by visa ?

A bank card does come up on your statements, but the prepaid card comes up on nothing it's great !!! You just ask at the counter of any post office for a pre paid internet Visa card and load what every amount you want and use it like a visa. Just doesn't leave a trace anywhere that links back to the PTSD site, on your accounts.

The only option through the donation button on this site though is PayPal isn't it? Even with a prepaid visa wouldn't you still need a PayPal account?

Good question I'm not sure, I just don't like PTSD coming up on my statements, can you change what it reads so maybe says something not quite so PTSD sounding ????

Yes, that's what it looks like to me, I clicked on it and PayPal was the only choice. How did you do that, @Sammyiam?

I'm a bit of a luddite, I get along without credit cards or any of these things and would rather keep it that way. I can understand why they wouldn't want to make sending a money order an option but it's by far the way I'd be most comfortable.
