Is there any way that doesn't involve using PayPal?

It says on the donation page that you have to have a PayPal account.

The only option through the donation button on this site though is PayPal isn't it?

, I clicked on it and PayPal was the only choice.

Once you click to go through to the Paypal page it gives you the option of paying through an existing Paypal account, or simply paying with a credit or debit card without opening a Palpal account. Yes it is via their site but you do not need a Paypal account any more ,they changed it a while ago.

Oh, okay, thanks. I'll try that. It sounds like in that case, the prepaid card @Sammyiam mentioned would work, right?

@Nicolette, how about noting near the donation button that you don't have to have PayPal to donate?

I donate using PayPal. My bank statements just show 'PayPal Payment' and my PayPal transaction history just comes up as 'Anthony Parsons'.

OK - I am sort of guessing that right now Nicolette will have gone to her bed. Would it not be wonderful if there was a huge surge in donations for her to find when she gets up in the morning.

My bank statements just show 'PayPal Payment

Probably varies with different banks. On my bank statement it shows as PAYPAL *PTSD FORUM. The prepaid card that Sammy suggested would get around that though, if that is something people are concerned about.

I'm still not seeing where they let you choose anything other than Paypal. There's a place to use a credit or debit card to set up the Paypal account, but where are you seeing the option of skipping it @Lucycat?

Anyway, I'm on my way to bed too, but I'll try to figure this out later.

You can pay through the PayPal site without signing up. Under the pay by credit/debit card option it says;

"(Optional) Sign up to PayPal to make your next checkout faster"
I have highlighted the word optional. You are not obliged to sign up. You can simply enter your card details and address (to verify that it is your card).

Really quite simple. Please do not be afraid to click through and have a look. Nothing is donated until you complete the details and press confirm.

I did my part. We are at $260 in donations so far and have paid off the next month - come on people, keep up the donations so we can cover the year!

Thank you for the heart felt concern for the group, Anthony and your own expression of SUDS.

Insofar as those wonderful members that have responded to others to assist as well as to donate...thank you. I can not offer enough how much -MyPTSD.com forum has made such a positive difference within every facet of my life as well as to some of the people that I have referred to this site.

Good morning all - it's 4.30am. I got up early as I have a lot of work to do and I've just popped in. What a wonderful surprise.

Thank you to those who have been replying to assist others in donating :) Hopefully @anthony can answer any outstanding queries when he gets up in a few hours time (he's not 100% and is sleeping a lot and I'm just plain crazy as I can't sleep worrying about what I need to get done). I really have to go and keep working.

Just remember - breaking this down - all it takes is for each member to donate $1.00 once a year to assist keeping this forum online for a year. Thank you :)

Here are the steps for those who wish to donate $1 using a visa/ MasterCard/ AmEx/ Discover/ or prepaid Giftcard:

Go to donate tab at top of page. Click Custom Amount, and insert 1.00.
Click Donate.
At second page, click Donate via PayPal.
At third page, click Pay With Card
At fourth page, choose country & enter Card or Giftcard information & email for receipt
Note highlighted information bar for those who wish to use a prepaid gift card on page 4
