Embarrassing Forgetfulness - Funny

This happens to me all the time. It's my main form of exercise -

I'm in my room and I want something from downstairs in the living room or kitchen. Go downstairs and get distracted by the cat or something of this nature. Get down there, can't remember what I'm there for. Think 'ah well, can't have been important'. Go back upstairs and remember. Back down the stairs again, and so on and so forth several times. Until I've walked up and down the stairs enough times I figure I've earned some chocolate. Which was probably why I went downstairs in the first place.

   Thanks, that was funny!

This is me, too. Our house is single-storey, though, so I don't get as much exercise as you do...

I'm a tattoo artist and was tattooing a fellow who obviously loved to hear himself talk and at the same time had the memory of a guppy....this can be quite frustrating after the third rendition concerning how his now ex-wife would never be able to cover up the tattoo of his name because it was so big....

He had her name on his back shoulder and I was using an eagle to cover it up, and just looking for an opportunity(duct tape might have helped) to get my 2 cents in....when he finally paused and mentioned the eagle I was tattooing, (which he couldn't see), I abruptly stopped working and said...."EAGLE???....I thought you said BEAGLE!!!"

There were at least 3 seconds of horror in his eyes before I relented and smiled to cue him in...hehehheee

Is there such a thing as Post Tattoo Stress Syndrome?...ha!

Had to laugh at that one as it's very close to home. Three years back when ptsd had a firm grip on me I had a tattoo done on my shoulder of an angelic figure draped with a ribbon banner, I explained to the tattooist that I wanted my wife's name (Mary) put on the ribbon but confused him by saying I might want to increase it at a later date to read " Mother Mary comfort me" which I mistakenly thought was the line from "Let it be" by The Beatles.
We looked at the picture and I showed him where to write it.

While he was doing it he said to me "it's difficult writing upside down" and I laughed thinking he was joking, but no he had written it upside down!!!
It's still upside down, I can't see it and sometimes I sort of like the fact that my wife's name is hidden in the picture.
Other times I wish there was a cure for this Post Tattoo Stress Syndrome! !:dontknow:

This week, I cooked up a turkey. Why? Because I accidentally thawed a turkey. When I went to get something out of the garage freezer, I had to remove the turkey to get at what I needed. 5 hours later I went back into the garage, and...there was the turkey, sitting right on the floor where I'd set it earlier.
