Usually there is an adjustment period to any medication where you will feel more ... whatever than usual. If you can try to arrange it so that your meds aren't taken right before driving that would be better.
Also talk to your doc. Tell them what you do for a living and get them to work with you to make sure that what you take and the dose that you take have a minimal impact on your performance.
