Glad you are getting some results from the injections... though it may seem like prolonging this whole issue, if you are responding to meds, the inevitable surgery will be far less complicated. Take good care KP!

I go into hospital tomorrow. My admission time is 10.30am. I have to phone the hospital at 9.30 in the morning to ensure they have a bed for me.

I'll check in when I can although there is no wifi in the hospital.

are you calm or is there some fear around?
Both. I've just had a nap.

I feel so rough, it will be good to stop taking all of the hormones. I feel I am in a constant night sweat - yuck but true, it is very draining. I am scared though. Scared I won't wake up from the anaesthetic and what that will do to hubby and my 2 girls.

I know once at the hospital, I will go into 'deer in headlights' mode. I won't show fear or pain. I will just take whatever they do. When I was having dental surgery (local anaesthetic), the surgeon kept telling me I was doing well and was brave. Truth was I was almost frozen with fear and trying to zone out.

Off now to cook supper.

Dearest KP, I really understand your fear. (all in all I had 10 operations so far.) And if I felt fear, but had the impression, that "my " operation team understood my fears, then I told them about it. And I asked, if they could give / inject something (mostly a benzoediazepine) to take my fear / inner tension away. Benzoe's also work as mild or strong anxiolytic, by the way. I made the experience, that although I was scared, if I told it the medical staff, they always treated me really well. Because the more relaxed you are, the "easier" for the anaesthesiologist to put you in the "sleeping mode". Maybe that could also be an option for you?...

We're all with you. You're accompanied by the hearts of your friends. Your candles will burn, until I read, that you're awake again, and that you're fine. Sending a bouquet of smiling, calming, gentle hugs your way.:hug::hug:

Okay, they have a bed for me. I am showered and almost dressed and packed ready for the off.

Hubby just made me laugh. He was out walking the dogs when I rang the hospital. He came home and shouted up, 'are thunderbirds go' , I replied yes. He is now downstairs singing the thunderbirds theme.

Signing off until later. I will take all of your best wishes and hugs with me. Thank you.
