Fighting the urge to isolate

I find I try to isolate myself as much as possible. At work and at home. At work out of about 100 people, I only care to speak with 1 person. If that one person is not at work, I keep myself busy and only speak with co-workers if I have to. At home, it is getting better, but I still see I am trying to isolate myself from my kids, why I don't want them to see what I have become. I don't want them to get sucked into my issues.

-ok4a56, just a thought:

I don't know your kids ages but they always want to show you "stuff" when they're little. Ask them to draw you a picture or something similar, and they will feel that they have your attention, love and that you are proud of them.

Kids blame themself for others' reactions; you mean well and am sure are correct, but there might be moments to squeeze in they will cherish forever.
