I'm afraid my trigger is pork... fortunately, as time has gone on, the amount of food thrown out has reduced. I agree with the other sentiments. Maybe it is best to start small and progress in careful stages. Good luck.
I know this can be a highly sensitive subject...why, I don't know. But how about eating a vegetarian diet? I am a vegan and my 13 year old was raised a vegetarian; we are bothe physically very healthy. And you know you are not eating anything that had to endure pain and suffering. Have had serious kitchen triggers my whole life. Food triggers have also been problematic; been instinctively moving toward vegetarian diet, especially this year. It took a while, but now my system seems to be accepting it and craving it, except I still eat eggs...
