For the love of chickens

Congratulations are due for Mini and MrM! They are going to be daddies in 17 more days!! I'm so excited! I collected 7 Polish eggs and put them in the incubator to see if they were fertile, and 4 were! It is day 4 and they are progressing nicely. You can look at the egg in the dark with a flashlight, and actually see it developing! I can't wait to see the chicks!

Ohh I hope we get to see the new babies!!! I know our own MrM must be proud!!!

How cool to get to watch the babies grow in the egg!!!

Hope you are doing ok, as new babies take extra work, but I know you love it and them!!!

I know it's not good form to count your chickens before they hatch but could we make suggestions for names?

Please do. I also have a gold laced Polish rooster chick that needs a name, and a gold laced hen. So the 4 eggs are progressing well, and I can see the chick embryos bouncing around in there! I'm really excited for them!

The human MrM has first dibs on naming any of the chicken MrM's babies. I don't know which is which yet, until they hatch or beyond. My mom had a might have had a mild heart attack so I am going to her house tomorrow. I'll be moving up there soon so I am having a coop built that I can separate into different areas so I can breed the hens that match the roos. Mom's fine. She told me she can't have a heart attack so it wasn't a heart attack.

I told her she was full of it. I was a cardiac nurse and she knows I know. I don't know what she told her doc because she doesn't have an appointment until Friday. I'm going to call her doc on Monday.

Thanks, @MrMoonlight, I will be relieved when I get there. Something celestial sounds great. I'll post pictures so you can get a better idea when they hatch. My son is looking after them while I'm gone, and hopefully I'll be back before they hatch.

Mine go to the doc., and 'forget'!! Aaaargh!
