News For Those Living In Australia... Is This True?

Nope the criminals here are the same as anywhere else! But here in Australia it's rare to own a gun, so the majority of criminals don't use guns.
Maybe in things like bank robberies or inter criminal group disputes, or bikie wars - guns Are there.
But u don't see them or hear of them much in the more general types of crime.
There is still a lot of physical violence but not gun use.
Personally I am really happy we have those gun laws!

Ha ha yes those mobile phones can pack a punch!
I forgot to say we go seem to hAve a lot of knivings, and if I had to choose I would probably prefer to be shot.
But I do think the gun wars here prevent a lot of deaths - but there is still a lot of injuries. I just wish there was no need for guns or knives.
The world is s lot more violent in general than when I was growing up

I don't know about Australia, but the founding fathers of the US put the second amendment into our constitution so that we can protect ourselves against the tyranny of government. Our present government is a very good indication that the second amendment is needed.

This whole 'we need guns to protect from oppression' argument would actually be quite valid - if the ones who spouted it weren't all delusional, hypocritical, oppressive Christ-fellating white supremacists themselves. It seems as if the only people who care about liberty are the ones who make a habit of consistently denying it to others, and the ones who would benefit from it most are seen as the "traitors" and "subhumans". Kind of sad, really.
