Forum Revamp

The forum revamp is under way, and I am letting all members know now that you may notice some issues with the current style due to things I have to do to the overall site.

The navigation has to be rebuilt, thus at some point it will disappear and reappear, bit by bit, as I rebuild it. There are some features for the new style that you may notice here, and they may work correctly on this style, or not, but will work correctly on the new build. Anything that doesn't work will be disabled once ascertained it works correctly on the new build.

I have no intention of answering questions about the forum rebuild until it is released. Staff have access and will assist in guiding me along based on their opinions, and once complete it will be released for member feedback.

Just to remind members, such a revamp consists of Anthony investing hour upon hour of his time, for days, into the forum. This is not factored into the site running costs and one of his many contributions to the forum. If I could just remind all those 'other' members who frequent the forum and don't donate, all it needs is for every member to donate $1 per annum to keep this place afloat. Please give so that this site stays her for you. Thank you.

Ok... some minor tweaks and changes to the homepage setup, specifically for mobiles and tablets.

The forum style is now live.

The entire point of the new style is to bring focus to the primary elements, whilst detracting to the noise around things, fading them out.

The new style is extremely mobile device friendlier than ever. You will see that from any mobile or mini tablet. Very easy to access profile and menu items using a side menu.

There are some nice premium functions added, which I know some may not understand, so please ask questions and others may be able to answer until I'm online again.

Colour options are default styles for ease of selection. The Ad Styler allows you to select your own colour palette and background.

Important *** Either method, the ad styler popup has a refresh icon, that is how you get back to default styling. ***

You can expand the style to fluid width, in the footer area, or click again to bring it back to fixed max width, responsive. Premium members will understand the flexibility of the forum home nodes with the sidebar closed (top breadcrumb).

There are now additional account upgrades added, monthly and popular features at monthly rates. Everyone can access collapsible nodes.

Top right of the navigation, when in a thread, a pagination icon appears so you can flick from post to post.

Probably lots more. Cleaner, more fluid, heaps better for mobile (our major reader base), faster, better.
