Thanks KP :)
Ok....update as it stands............
Firstly I will say it pays to know people and it helps that I currently work for some very well respected specialists who have been able to get me into appointments quicker. Example being I have to have an endometriosis ultrasound before the gynaecologist can move forward and I was given a date of the 25th August as I have to see a professional who is highly regarded and hence hard to get into see. I then explained my situation and was given another number for her other office and was offered an appointment on 5th August. I then 'name dropped' who I work for and I now have an appointment next Tuesday now... :D:tup:. This has been going on for 4 years now and I am getting sick quicker and don't have time on my side so I pulled in the support from the people I work for.
The outcome of the appointment today is I have an obstruction at the top of my right kidney which needs urgent attention as, while my left one is abnormal, it is still functioning normally but the pain is increasing on that side due to it having to work harder.
In terms of endometriosis the speculation is I have it through the pelvic region, in the uterus and possibly on the outer wall of my uterus and it is possibly what is on my kidney.
Finally, for the first time in 4 years I don't feel like a nut job and someone highly respected in his field sat up and listened and AGREED!!! I have been telling them for years I think it was endometriosis and they just kept feeding me antibiotics with no infection which made no sense to me.
The gynaecologist wants to hear what the Urologist says tomorrow and it seems likely he will be the first to perform surgery. Apparently you can't get to the kidneys well with a laparoscopy so they may have to go in from the bottom up to the kidneys to see what the obstruction is. By then I should have the results from the ultrasound.
Another thing mentioned is due to my sister having a history of endometriosis it is not something they can ignore now as it is proven to have link between sisters. Hallelujah! The gynecologist didn't want to plant seeds but due to the weirdness of what is happening and where I he said I may have some rare condition but lets not worry about that yet......
Gotta go.... update tomorrow following next appointment.
