Dearest Nicholette,

I had endometriosis too. It can be so painful and debilitating. It's like having a period throughout your whole belly. That caused adhesions all over and there were parts of the small intestine stuck together so even gas is painful. I had a complete hysterectomy at 25. What a relief. I mourned not have any children that I carried and birthed. Now, I think God saved me from totally loosing my mind. I don't think I could have widthstood the pain of childbirth. We adopted two girls and in a way I was surprised at just how close our connections were.
One night, my first daughter was hospitalized at 6weeks old for dehydration as she had bad diarrea. In India, Moms stay in the same room as their babies. I was woken up by a severe pain in my ankle. At first I thought I had become entangle with the iron bedstead. No, I was fine. Out of instinct, I went over to the tiny crib to look at my baby. Her saline line had made her ankle swell up so much it looked 3x its normal size. I felt her pain. It woke me up. I am not her biomom. But wow I surely am her Mom!!!!
