It's up to that person to then man up and decide if he was out of line or not. I wasn't in construction, I was career Military until I got hit. So I will not comment on construction. But I was a SNCO, and I am well aware of man management and motivational technique. Calling someone down is not overly effective. But when you see two people get into a pissing contest, pointing out reality is the order of the day. We are not civi's. We are all people who have known the system, and some of us still recognise the value of straight shooting. To ask us to do otherwise is abit presumptuous. A spade is a spade, and that's that. No one is questioning your "manhood". We are not ego centric power trippers. But we will say it like we see, whether the powder puffs like it or not. As a Marine, I'd figure you'd be behind that.

I completely understand where you're coming from. And no I didn't think anyone was questioning 'my manhood'. I was just stating that I've seen so many argument, fights and stuff that was about that kind of shit that I just don't want to see it here.

I know we all can't get along. We're not going to gather around the fire and sing 'cumbaya' and stuff. That's OK co-existence is the best we can hope for even when we were in the service.

Maybe after a lifetime of seeing so much pain and suffering and at this time with all of us and PTSD I just know how much shit people are and have yet to go through. I just try to do my best to help and guide rather than kick butt. Anyway my foots sore from a lifetime of doing that also.

One thing for sure vets with PTSD are reactionary, I know I am. Always have been. Sorry about jumping in your shit. Even if I do I still go your back.

This site belongs to Anthony yes. It is designed to be here to help people deal with their PTSD, learn about medication, how deal with their relationships, how to deal with their respective VA's or just have a general chit chat.
Anthony told me a very long time ago to not come on the forum if my stress levels were high. Fair enough, if you have a legit problem you need sorted, post in the relevant section then log off. Don't go sorting through posts creating opinions on people because your in a bad mood.

So what if the person is a 'f*ckTARD', so what if the person uses a million emoticons, so what if they can't spell, so what if they are so learners. We are not judges, the jury or executioners.

I pride myself on being diplomatic 90% of the time and try and give people a fair go, but some of you guys may not be well at the time and don't give new people the benefit of the doubt and just bully them. Talk about give the forum a bad name. But I also have come on here and dragged myself into shit slinging matches and have abused people.

Yes some people need a slap on the side of the head if they constantly come on here with the same problem and won't listen, well tell them straight. Tell them diplomatically that they have been advised at what to do and won't take that advice, you will get backed up. There is no need for open warfare.

Think back to when you first learned about PTSD and that you had it.

I also know that we get people who just don't listen or follow the basic rules and come on here posting miracle cures or searching for information for their thesis. Well they should be reported and banned, not sworn at and abused.

At one stage I was not going to come back to this forum as it was doing more harm than good. This place is a home for many of us. It is a safe place, a place where we can have a laugh, but also share our problems. Let's keep it that way.

When I first got to'Nam I had a squad leader that I just flat out hated. And he loved me as well. During a firefight he was wounded. I was close so I ran and picked him up and ran back with him. He said he was surprised that I'd do that. I told him to shut up or I'd drop him in the latrine. One thing had nothing to do this the other; he was a Marine that needed help. It's kinda' like here. We can't all love each other or even get along sometimes but I can assure you I'm always here to help and know I can count on ya'll as well. Like Jimmy said; Let's keep it that way.

There is no rank on this forum and a new guy signing up tomorrow apart from posting rights, has the same rights as anyone else. It's just common courtesy to sit back and watch how the forum works and ask question unless you have something to get off your chest. Some people can be over helpful or over keen if you know what I mean. They can post that much stuff thinking they are doing the right thing when all they are doing is spamming the forum.

Some people have to learn how to read a post first too. Sometimes guys come on here which are in dire need of help and rather than getting pointed in the right direction and given a bit of empathy, they are given what they want the least, sympathy. They are already feeling pretty low as it is. They also don't need to be told three page stories of someone else's problems. Use words like I can't really understand what your going through but..., or I can sort of understand what your going through as I have been in a similar circumstance....

And some people need to be bitch slapped. If they are regular members, yeah they are allowed to have a bleat, but when it becomes a constant and every day, then PM them. We all now Public Humiliation is not nice.

Everyone is in a different place with their own PTSD and how they deal with it. Bitch slapping someone just because they don't live up to your standard of 'manhood' is ego-centric and pretty lame as well.

It has nothing to do with people not matching upto your own level of manhood. Some people are just lamers and whining wankers irespective of what they do, where they came from or how you treat them.

But telling someone their a muppet and need to get a grip and kicking them in the arse is a mile away from accusations of bullying and attacking, accusations the likes of which are rife in todays mamby pamby Military.

Look at some of the threads on here where Accusations of Bullying or being Atacked have come up! where maybe 1 or 2 people have said something that the person in question didn`t like.
