Well it was pretty painful. I needed to speak up about that.
But I turned up. I waited for 20 minutes for the doctor to come in, during which the anxiety was so high I almost fell asleep. Next time I need to speak up about the pain but all in all I did okay and got through the procedure. They were kind and reassured me that I was doing well. They took three samples of the same lesion (I think that is what they are called.)
I was a bit concerned when they said the report said the lesion was 2mm down but they thought is was further down than the report said. Then I decided to trust they knew what they were doing.
I did space out a bit at times but I was okay I think.
The doctor was supervising another doctor and I was concerned that she was learning on me. But I didn't say anything. They kept discussing were they happy with the entry point and how to get it to stay still so they could get a sample. Apparently it kept moving.
Afterwards I waited in the waiting room so they could see I had no adverse reactions. I left and went to a cafe where I had a vanilla milkshake and a sandwich and just sat for 40 minutes reading about dementia - looking for information to help B with his Dad.
80% Chance it is benign but it was stressful. I did okay.
Came to the library, had a 20 minute nap and then did some research on Mindfulness Meditation, I have almost finished reading the book. Got two PTSD books as well.
