This book hasn't been discussed for a while, so I apologize for a new post on an older book, but I saw this on the page and had to write! I'm a little less than halfway through Gone Girl, and I still don't know how I feel about it. I love love love Gillian Flynn's other books because she writes much like the way I prefer to write...blunt, and having the narrator point out what the reader is thinking...in particular one part in this book where Nick says he has a mistress, he says "okay this is the part where you all of a sudden hate me, if you even liked me in the first place" or something to that effect. That's what I thought!
I hate to say that I'm a little disappointed with this book since I haven't finished it, but it's not keeping my attention like her other books, which I couldn't put down until I finished them. Needless to say, I hope I'm pleasantly surprised somewhere down the line.
