Good Food

Speaking of good food, my wife is an artist when it comes to cooking. Doesn't matter what it is. She just made some burgers with shitake mushrooms, bacon and cheese, and baked french fries. Heart attack here I come, but I don't care, ready to die after eating this superb meal...lol
 
Southern, fried, finger-lickin' chicken! Or, fried chicken liver with massive doses of Red Devil.

And all the fixens' wind up spoiling in the fridge. I've gotten horrible about eating and I have to address it. I've got to train to go to a restaurant, sit down and have a decent meal. I used to be really good at bar-b-que, but I just lost interest after my wife passed.

So, now, I eat to stop the hunger. Garbage. It's got to change.

Okay... Today was a win. Ate twice. Wasn't exactly hungry, but the reading reminded me and even meant I remembered to go shopping for not-exactly-jambalaya ingredients for tomorrow. Maybe. But they're already here.

- Fried Plantains (too lazy to make guacamole)
- Ham sandwich. A boring one. Like bread+ham. But whatever.
 
Simple recipe and good food.
Farfalle pasta, spinach from the freezer, smoked salmon and creme fraiche.
Cook pasta and spinach, add small pieces of salmon.
Add creme fraiche, a few capers and pine seeds when available and season to taste.

Easy to make and nutritious.
Eating right makes a difference.:whistle:
 
Two wins in a row...

Yesterday was Mushroom Risotto & stuff on toast (tomatoes, basil, olive oil,MIT has a name Imjust can't remember it). OMFG I actually cooked.

Today Steak and Ale pies.

Marone...the tomatoes, basil, olive oil. That was Bruchetta. Should have had some fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinegar no? I love it.
 
Grazia Bello! My vocab sucks right now. I can see the picture in my mind, but the name escapes me. Chair, Friday, that's called a chair. Oh. Right. (I asked my sister to grab me one of those wooden things we sit on at the table).

Bruschetta does have a bit more of a ring to it than 'stuff on toast', doesn't it?
