You need to shift past that... because there is not a hope in hell that you're going to get on with every person within an online community. It just won't happen, hence why such features exist to ensure people stick within the scope of community rules. Basically, by taking the high road, any member who continues inciting nonsense and you do not respond, that member ends up banned, more often than not.

Problematic, argumentative members, often do not last long here if they persist... let me put it that way. It brings an overall discord to the community and others ability to get on with their own healing and discussion here.

Please just remember where you are... the world wide web. There is no such thing as a safe online anything. In fact I tell people all the time, they should not consider this community a safe zone for themselves, because that it's a lie. Staff try and do what they can to protect the overall harmony of the community, which is the best that can be achieved by removing any ongoing noise and disruptive members.

Trust me... use the ignore when it is required.

Well i know that, i do IT 'member? But safer than im used to which is my extremely gossiping, jusgemental, piece of crap family. Ive never used names on here which is why everyone gets "step dad" and "dad" mixed up and though my profile says im on the east coast of the US, ive never said which State i live in or have lived in, and i cant like ghe page's facebook page because my family googles me, my usual user name, my name, my mom & step dad's name, phrases i may use, etc then takes all the info, prints it, hands it out to EVERYONE then drama from hell comes my way. Safer than that; safe enough to share whatever and not feel im doing somefhing wrong by doing so. Thats all. I know what goes online stays online and by having, and looseing vidoes i made on a site that closed and i wasnt aware in the gap they gave to get content off of it, can be lost forever.

Def will start using the blocking more often. Figured that out this morning.

You still make me smile and i still have no idea why. Stupid and silly, i know.

I have an average handle time (common stat in a call center ) of almost 3000 secs when its supposed to be 750...ya think i like to talk? Quite frustrated that i cant seem to get it down this month though.

I know you wont know what this means, @anthony will, but you'll get the concept; customer dropping almost always 100% data packets on just a 32 byte 4 packet ping, when i got some to pass his ping times are over 4000ms, had him turn all device off, passed all packets 20 times at 1400 bytes (internet sized) 0% loss, ummm, its on his side. Devices on, no data traffic passing, off they pass perfectly, of course line speed etc was good, he argued with me for 40 mins and FINALLY requested a sup. Im so bored and was recently turned down for a promotion (though ive been an internet tech since internet has been internet, started as a dial up tech) because im not dual trained enough in other products yet. Than triple train me (already cross trained) and get my ass promoted! Im bored, i need the money and by god i have way too much technical knowledge for my current position a tier 2.

You're recovery is your recovery... be unapologetic about it but be aware of communication style. Recovery is a selfish business... I try not to step on my own "air hose"... and then added, "and not anybody else's".

There are many and various opinions here... this is where I learn to not run with scissors and test/work out my trust issues. I would though self examine what you think a diary means and why you think that a higher number of responses/interactions are worth more than people who may feel an inclination or kindredness with you in a diary format.

This is not after all a "diary" per se, it is an interactive diary where the peeps who read feel or are compelled to share from a more often commonality versus the social/discussion forums where it's "all comers".

It isn't easy to find your way here. It's not. Some peeps would do well to remember that. Me included as I'm not exactly stellar. Been called to account a few times. I call it learning rather than blame/shame/condemnation/guilt. Mostly, don't step on your own support system/air hose.
