Has This Site Changed Or Is It Just Me ?

I think that any increase in nastiness has little to do with site administration, and more to do with the previously well explained ebb and flow of the site, and this:

I work In a call centre, and am noticing in my daily interactions, there, in my own life and here, people are really stressed and unhappy. For some reason this tends to cause people to be more judgemental and have less tolerance.

I work with people in a variety of positions in life, and people seem stressed out more overall. In the US, we have a very angry presidential race happening, and people just are becoming more like bullies as they struggle with tough times.

I also think that we all tend to find what we look for. I have noticed that when I'm more angry, I find more angry people in my life. When I am in a better place, I tend to notice more of the good around me - including the good that was there all along.

I personally have not noticed any changes, simply because I don't read what I don't want to read. @joeylittle is doing an awesome job... I feel it is childish, those that may be challenging the rules. She simply has her own approach, and have told her I wouldn't have her job for any amount of money.... but the end result is always the same.... the rules are followed, people are given warning.... that's partly why this site works.... because admin and the mods stay on top of things... Freaks me out to think how many people are on this site.....

I see more superficial support of the " There, there, we all love you, don't worry, everyone else is wrong and you will be all right" sort. (I'm sure there is a word for that, but it escapes me

I think that @anthony's post summed things up nicely. Normally, I prefer to leave threads open - but since this is specific to this point in time, and I think everyone has said what they need to say, I'm going to go ahead and lock it.
