Just wondering how many of us have tattoos or piercings on this site. What is your tattoo and whereabouts on your body is it.
I have got a semi colon on my wrist which I got on Halloween last year and I got it not only for the message but also to help ground me.I am looking to get a small dragonfly next and then I think I am done.

6 piercings, 2 tattoos, a lotus on my wrist and a larger hamsa on my calf :) the hamsa is for protection, strength and feminine power and the lotus is to remind me that i can overcome anything, it also has a semi colon incorporated in it.

When I was 18 I had an industrial done. Then at 19, septum piercing and a conch dermal punch. I stretched the septum to 6mm. Haven't worn anything in any of my piercing holes for years, at least 5 or 6 years. At this point, my industrial has totally closed up, both holes. I have little scars there but it's not noticeable. My conch is just as open as it always has been, because I had a chunk of ear cartilage cookie-cutter punched out of my ear. I don't wear anything in it. It's 3mm. Just looks like a mole or something, at least that's what most people say when they find out it's a hole, or when they see light shining through my ear.

My septum, which I stretched so large that it dented my cartilage (SUPER painful because of how sensitive that area is), has shrank to about 3.5mm (don't ask me how I know that... lol). I used to be able to stick my glasses leg through it to freak people out. It didn't deform my nose, btw. It still looks like it always has.

I really liked glass jewelry, which looks cooler the larger it is, thus the septum stretching.

I kind of want to put jewelry back in my conch and get a really tiny, small diameter captive-ball-ring for my septum, one that almost hugs the skin.

Both ears are pierced twice, but I only wear earrings in the bottom holes on occasion. I have two favorite pair...a flower and a celestial theme. I'm not much of a bling bling/jewelry kind of gal.

Never got a tattoo due to me being highly allergic to pain and not wanting to have the eventual and inevitable droopy canvas that was mentioned above. lol

I am, however, very fascinated by the stories of the ink of others and love it when they're willing to share that story with me. I've often entertained the idea of stopping by a shop to have them draw me one up so I can buy it and frame it instead of actually having it applied, but my penny pinching ways have stopped me from following through.

My ears and nose are pierced, and I have a tattoo of one of the f-shaped sound holes from a violin on the back of my neck. No others yet because my rule for tattoos is that I can only get one if I still really want it after five years. I made it through the waiting period for the two large wasps I want on my shoulder blades, probably a Chlorion aerarium and an Ampulex sp. I haven't had them done yet though because I've decided that they have to be drawn from actual specimens in my collection, and I don't have an Ampulex yet. I can't find any records of them from my state, but I know we have them here because one landed on my arm once. Now I just have to go back to where I found that one and spend a few weeks staring at tree trunks. Hopefully, one will show up, but I'm right at the very edge of their range so they may be very rare here.

No, never. I hung around an MMA gym with my kids while they were growing up and naturally they were all tattoos except my teacher, a BJJ black belt. None. I always admired that about him. Only my adopted son, one out of six, has a tattoo or piercing. Oh, except my wife's ears that is. : )

One pierced ear and two tats; a reaper and some ravens. I want a blue moon tat, but doubt I will ever get it done as I just don't have the funds for it.

Gonna get a harry potter one. 'The last enemy to be destroyed is death'. Saving it for when I feel I have some closure and am in a good spot.
