I just started watching it. This might sound silly but I actually feel like I relate to it so much. All of this you find out in the first episode (mostly first few minutes) but it might accidentally spoil something i don't notice. Just a warning.
So she works in a police morgue (so most of the brains she eats are of murder victims). When she eats a brain, she sometimes gets flashbacks to the person's life, and sees their last memories, their trauma and death. It's like she's dealing with her own trauma and complete personality change (from herself dying) as well as the trauma of each person whose brain she eats, plus temporarily taking on their character traits.
The nightmares, flashbacks, personality changes, sometimes impulse control issues.....idk dude. I just am amazed by how well I relate to this. And how accurately this show about zombies portrays trauma compared to some shows that are supposed to really be about trauma lol.
Anybody else have thoughts on it or other TV shows you can relate to?
