Imagine what you could accomplish, having seen things now from both sides of your desk.
I read this with a huge 'I don't f*cking care". lol..I've considered it, and deliberated many facets of the situation.
it's a no from me
I was so disappointed w the agency I worked for and how unsympathetic they were to their employees who had mental illness/sought treatment. I was like this is a joke right, isn’t this in your mission statement.
HA. That's my employer as well. I actually had two at the time, but the one that is solely the mental health agency in my community is the one where HR was giving me grief. She made a comment to me saying, "There needs to be an end to this! We can't just keep receiving notes saying you're off and can't work!". I was like...:| are you kidding me? I'm sorry my trauma recovery is taking too long for your liking??? I mean honestly! If I said that to one of my clients while working, you know how fast I would've been fired! I'm so sickened by the lack of empathy and the invalidation those struggling with psychological issues face from others - especially those in positions who are supposed to be supportive and caring. That also diminishes my interest in returning to work. How replaceable does that make me feel? I get into a life threatening car accident (not many people survive a collision with a moose), and they are mad at me for not brushing it off faster? wtf man.
