I think this is quite common. Its easier to help other people with their problems but not so easy to hel...
Well, I'm a thinking that peeps like me live in a different sense of 'reality' and its so easy to pretend that nothing is wrong.... I've only just in the past weeks swallowed my pride... And today admitting it...That I desperately need AND am willing to accept help, am laughing at my stupid pride  prideful Pixie :roflmao: (my name is Pixie)

Yes.. So yes!!
I'm glad to have met someone who can laugh at themselves too... But I can only do t...

Use music a lot. That has really helped me. Huge amount of exercise has really helped. And finding a reason to laugh everyday is the icing on my cupcake. Helping others actually makes me see that my feelings are norm to some extent, and l feel less isolated and alone in the emotional mosh pit of my overworked brain.

people like you? You dont sound any different to anyone else. Pride is all well and good but everyone needs help at times. It doesn't matter who you are, the bottom line is that you are only human! Asking for or accepting help does not make you any worse than anyone else

People like me = people with PTSD = people like you?
Didn't mean to make myself look even more selfish than I already am :wacky::roflmao:

I can assure you that you ain't met anyone quite like me. It's impossible, I'm unique, just like everyone else is individually unique. You too. :whistling: no two person are the same... Even identical twins. :)

I agree that we are all unique but I disagree that 'people like you' are 'people with PTSD'. That does not define WHO you are or who you want to be. Although my knowledge is very limited at the moment, PTSD is something that happens to you. It is not something that is a result of choice. Not choice = not who you are ;)

Aye you are correct, but you are taking my words waaaaay out of context. I used ME as an example instead of US so as not to categorise everybody into the same group.
Again. People like me = people with PTSD = people like you?
Can you see the question mark?
And it was you laddie that categorised everybody into a group non?
I clearly pointed out that we are all individually unique.
Something YOU failed to mention. Now, gies yir patter 'Einstein' and a cup of coffee to go with it. Chop, chop!!

Now to the actual point of what I was trying to say in the WHOLE sentence... Some people with PTSD, like ME live in a different sense of 'reality'.
Is that better o Scot who's being taught English by me...?
You can't just take a few words and try to twist my meaning.
You should always look at the whole sentence.

What else would you like me to teach you eh? Pmsl

I'm bilingual, osaan puhua suomen kielen, myöskin.

And yes..... PTSD isn't about what's wrong with you, it's ALL about the wrong done to you.
You can, understand my English correctly now right?
I can try and write that in Scottish Gaelic if you no comprehendo monsiour ;)

I dont fit that category anyway because I do not suffer from PTSD. I actually consider myself as a non-conformist although I am pretty damn close to fitting the crazy cat lady profile lol
labelling people is demeaning in my opinion and I dont want to do that although some people might apply a few labels to me. Some of them might even be polite lol
