Hi from Australia. I'm a Mum of 3 children, a 9 year old boy, a 5 year old girl and a new baby girl. Working from home. And im an optimist ( : I joined the forum as have experienced PTSD for a number of years now. After having EMDR therapy my symptoms improved greatly. But over the past year many symptoms have increased or returned again. There is no one I can really talk to about it. I'm hoping to learn from others who have had similar experiences and offer support or advice where I can too.

Hi, and it's nice to meet you, I hope your stay here is as informative as it's been for me. Wishing you the very best on your road to recovery, and life's journey.

@Seagreen : first of all welcome to the forum. Hopefully you'll have some great experience here. I'm sorry that you're going through tough time but we are all here to support one another.

Secondly, your name seagreen is very attractive and it is actually my favorite color, so that is one of the other reasons I came here to reply to this thread lol. Once again Welcome.

Welcome :)

I'm retreading, too. Had a good long gap of nearly a decade between when I first though I'd sorted myself, and now when I'm back to living in the PTSD badlands. :p Come to find, PTSD is cyclic! Which I hadn't known before. In a lot of ways, that makes things -for me- much easier. I know what's going on, I know my patterns, so I have a general idea of what's happening. Of course, while less scary, it doesn't make it less painful... And it's certainly a lot more frustrating. Especially when I know I "know" something (How do I do this again?!?), but can't remember it. Blank mind, and feeling stupid, on top of the durn roller coaster. So it also makes things worse. Because I get tired of having to deal with this nonsense. This site has been invaluable to me. Absolutely invaluable. It's strength.

Welcome to the site, there are many good people on here.
My case is similar to yours, my symptoms have mostly calmed at one point, after a couple years of theraphy, and then I was attacked, and they all spiked up.

I'm sure at all times you will be able to find someone to help you, like people on chat saved my life a few nights ago when I joined

Thanks for the welcomes. I look forward to getting to know you all more.
@j-trustno1 glad you like my name. I was trying to think of one when i looked up at the ocean and noticed it was a lovely green that day lol

@Seagreen Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, PTSD can come back and kick a person down again. However, once you know what works for you and have the skills to manage the symptoms, the recovery is a bit easier the next go around. I hope you find the support here beneficial to your continued healing.

@Seagreen, welcome to the forum. I am glad you have joined, and I am confident that you will find this forum to be an excellent source of support, and information.
Sorry that the PTSD symptoms are coming back; are you stil seeing a therapist?
