Hello and welcome, my SO developed PTSD after my diagnosis of cancer, this was years after the traumas he witnessed in the forces and the breakdown of his marriage. Back in the day it was seen as weak to admit to 'not coping' so like soldiers are good at doing sucked it up and moved on with life. Yeah all the signals were there that something was not quite right, dreadful scary dreams, isolation, chronic aches and pains that the medical profession could find no diagnosis for post all manner of investigations, plus many more symptoms. Finally after many years he admitted he needed help and is due to start therapy next week, and I am grateful that it has come bubbling to the surface.....so I understand the delay in getting PTSD.
