I have ptsd ftom catastrophic illness cardiopulmonary arrest..Transgenerational trauma ftom my family of origion. Husband is a veteran. He believes in hypervigilance..I just asked him to some how assure me he would not react when the better response would be not reacting pause stop..He is mailing another self defense weapon to his 14 year old grand daughter. He father is retired navy seal. My husband former special forces air force para rescue. I was waiting to go in to my ultrasound appt. Told him I am going in early. I am in feat. He got angry with me again saying I am coping an attitude. I am far from perfect with my skills to manage my ptsd but they are counter to my husbands. He left service in 1996. No ptsd treatmrnt like me. Was told to throw it all in trash. Ok. I love him very much grateful for all he has done but.... help advice insight guidance. Thank you.

And I have no control over his grand daughter. But hypervigilance= illness death disability loss of relationships legal issues etc.

Would appreciate some perspective on this. Can people with PTSD have trouble keeping themselves out of controversial subjects opinions etc? I read this. My husband has PTSD. Veteran. War combat. I see this in him. Not just with me. You tell people what to do and you can get quite the opposite reaction or behavior. It can be quite negative. This is something with me I have had to work on. Still doing. I will only seek advice from my health care providers. In the past I also had lawyers therapists etc. People with degrees and experience I can trust. Otherwise I will take things with a so called grain of salt. I will fact check. And ugh.... trying to control things or people we don't. Big error. I will limit contact with people who are problematic. If people with ptsd gravitate toward controversies but are they trying to gain?
