Sufferer Hi New To This.

Hi. This is all still very new to me. I've been working with a therapist to try to deal with a car accident and issues in my past. I'm struggling with weekly Prolonged Exposure and frequent nightmares right now. I'm relieved to have found such a helpful, friendly community.

Hello, I am new aswell. Was in a very bad train accident and feel the same way. Have you found therapy helpful? I have gone through around 6 therapists in the last few months (I broke them all off after 1-2 sessions because it was too hard for me), do you have any advice on that matter? How have you been able to stick it through?

Therapy is a very hard and emotional experience. Sometimes it feels like my therapist is trying to make me mad/ upset. I shake and dig my nails into my skin it's so difficult. I think the trick is to keep trying and use safe place strategies. I don't plan anything for straight after. Keep at it - it does get better. I hope you find a therapist who works for you because this stuff is horrible. Sorry you had to go through what you did:hug:
