Just wanted to show love and support. You are strong and compassionate. You will make it through this.

One quick thought on working out the hammer trigger: It might be helpful for you to buy a hammer and practice on your own to start with. That way you can be in complete control of the frequency and volume of the noise. Also, it might be helpful to make your first few exercises with this in a sunny place so your brain will produce serotonin naturally and reduce any depression you may feel.

This was one of the first posts I made. After a little more than 2 months of work on the building, they finished in early September. So, now I can work much better. The good thing that came out of the triggers and flashbacks was that I found the forum. :thumbs-up

The forced daily exposure therapy also helped. In the end, it didn't trigger me so much. I find I can now usually handle one trigger at a time. When the hammering, pounding, etc. was during the time of year of the rape/pregnancy/miscarriage; it was cold; they were speaking another language, etc., it was tougher.

Thanks for all of you who've encouraged me in these almost 3 months that I've been here on the forum. It was worth going through the flashbacks to find you all!
