I think it's good that you're interested in the topic. At this stage of the game it's about pure discovery. I get annoyed at most of the undergrad and grad surveys that try to make conclusions with flawed questioning. It's SO easy to pick apart their research... But, you don't seem to be setting out to make sweeping generalizations. Word to the wise....please don't! I advise you to treat this more as a learning process rather than trying to come to some novel conclusion. Just my two cents!

I also think it's good you are researching PTSD, if more people become aware that of the truths behind PTSD rather than what is portrayed in the media or common stereotypes then the world would be a better place. If that starts with just one individual then so be it, but hopefully you will interest your classmates/professor too.

Don't worry too much about some of us being wary - I think that's normal for us as a method of protection: wary of strangers, wary of potential threats whether there or not, wary of unfamiliar people and suspicious of motives and the characters of others.

I will send you a message after my docs appointment this morning. Just out of curiosity, how many participants were you looking for? Or is it a case of the more the better? Either way good luck and good on you for choosing such a good project subject. :)

@digger1 I chose PTSD as my project simply because I wanted to learn more about it. Before this project, I had only thought PTSD was something military personnel got. but as I researched further, I found out I was WRONG. and it has really captured my attention so I'm trying to get this as accurate as I can. I'm now trying to get perspectives from multiple people. This is a very important part in my project.

Thank you, Sweetlullabye, for your concern. I am pretty protective of myself.......and the forum doesn't let me use a personal email address anyway, maybe for good reason. But I answered most of his questions in a private message format, and I was OK with that. I have a teenage son that has procrastinated like crazy, and the guy just rang true to me. Nothing I told him (I certainly didn't give him my name.....) was intrusive, if I didn't want to answer, I just didn't. But again, you're right to point out the danger, and thank you.
