Hot - In The Uk, Hot, And... Ugh!

Luckily not being in a city and only working part time I'm enjoying the weather. I do melt as soon as I do anything houseworky and I hate having a shower and feeling just as sticky 5 minutes later.

Hubby and I are making the most of it. We almost live in the garden. Under the umbrella during the day, staying in the shade and drinking loads of sugar free squash. We have been sitting out until 11pm and watching the stars come out.

Today is cooler although very humid.

Luckily, I've never had hayfever. There's a condition I don't have... yay!!!

Today is HOT! I've added to my growing amount of window coverings (every blanket and duvet cover is now helping to block out the sun) so I'm in an almost complete blackout. It's much better but very dim.

Also listening to rain and thunder sounds on YouTube... nice.

I get hay fever very badly and usually with asthma but I take strong anti histamines all year round and it seems to have done the trick. I had it in June but not as bad as normal.

It is very hot and muggy in Cheshire and they were gritting the streets last week to stop them melting. Now it is very hot, overcast but quite pleasant. We are waiting for the forecast thunder storms - I love a good storm!

Stay cool people!

I officially lost my sense of humour yesterday afternoon. Seriously. Melting traintracks or whatever  and broiling sub-Saharan temperatures don't go well with a sniffling allergy ridden commuter. Not a happy bunny. :hungover:

CraftyCath, I am already on 2 different prescription strength anti histameins every day the whole way through and they ain't doing it at present! Or they probably are doing it but not enough! Have had a couple of pollen incidents where my face swelled up this week too which was pretty.

The only good part is that a blotchy, sniffling, sneezing swollen faced sweaty person tends not to get their personal space inpinged on in trains. :D

a thunder storm and a few minute of torrential rain

We had about three raindrops yesterday and maybe five today. It just isn't happening here.

Some very ethereal lightning last night though. Completely understand the ancients worshipping elemental gods. I'd have been right there, giving my best sheep to placate what was going on in the sky.

Abstract, I'm sorry for you. The personal space I understand, though. In Italy on holiday once I got a mosquito bite on my eye, which I then adorned with green slimy ointment from the chemist - not one bit of bother from any signors after that. :D
