The UU church has cancelled and will be doing service via Zoom.

My UU created a youtube channel and is doing services there for at least 3 weeks. I really appreciate it because it helps me stay connected to them.

I'm currently unemployed - quit my job just before this whole virus mess, which was sincerely bad timing LOL - and I'm using the time to detox from that job, not only just "being," but also thinking about where I want to go from here. Developing my business, finishing up a couple of courses I'm taking, and trying to get my home in some sort of order. Emotionally, I'm feeling kind of numb right now. But underlying that is a relaxation I haven't felt in a long time.

I have been struggling with the idea that these times may be good for us collectively. But, having experienced 3 or 4 things this past week that just seem to be put in my path by the universe, I recognize what really *good* timing this has been. A definite time of renewal.

For those not ill, this can be a good time for looking within and seeing where we need to make changes so we can move forward.

Planting the spring garden, out doors on the back yard deck, limiting mom's "news" feed (thankful for a "Laverne and Shirley" marathon the other day)… keeping a structured routine including a 1-2 hour nap time for her in the afternoon (where I can have household quiet even if I don't want to nap). Inspirational reading and staying up with and supporting friends.

Super point! I've imade a number of changes during this time....a good time for self-reflection. We are supposed to be having our journeying group online....not sure how that's going to work out but I have a couple weeks to figure out the technology.

Maybe we could also organize 60 seconds of screaming, just to let some steam off.

xD :p

No reason to scream. It's 85 degrees out. Many of the city parks and scenic hwys are open....I took my camera and went for a drive to check out nature... Just keep your tank full....for those...I gotta get out of here moments .....Not many people out earlier this morning....

64 here and overcast, but it's really nice. I plan to take my new camera and go to a nearby cemetery and botanical garden to take pictures one of these days when it is pretty out.

I wouldn't wait too long to go. I'm predicting more movement restrictions related to covid 19....and at least 8 weeks of school closed.
Eventually, even city parks will close. Many national parks have already closed.....to discourage everyone while they are off from work from using this as local vacation time....and to encourage folks to stay home. Then what? Close the state borders?....also a possibility.

But I love being outside! Have a wonderful time! A cloudy day is great for photography!

You can weather watch and weather admire from the inside out.

It may only limit your horizons is all, but not the activity.

And know how many games of Guess today's weather / Compare with reports and other people / Describe the same blah weather as yesterday in better terms... can you play on it? Weeks! :woot: Of wicked fun. :sneaky:

Ditto photography. Incomplete angles are good for planning up trips, And THAT I take from other view when convenient, for later.

It's a wait is all. Not a halt to all hobbies.
