First off, I was getting to sleep when my noisy neighbors started their usual banging around... but thankfully I take meds that MAKE me go to sleep, so I eventually drifted off as I usually do, no matter what kinda noise they cook up, upstairs.
I awoke after a dream of being in a car or maybe a taxi where I was having trouble exiting. My sister (or maybe a friend) had already exited. I had one foot out the door and was trying frantically to hitch the leash to my PTSD Service Dog's collar, when the driver started to drive away. I yelled at him to wait, I had not exited yet and he kept driving, making it impossible for me to exit! My foot was still dragging outside the open door. I was in panic mode when I woke up.
Of course I could not go back to sleep. It was 4:30 AM and I knew I'd not be able to get back to sleep (even though the neighbors were finally quiet then), so I got up.
In many ways it has been an alright day, even though I had the nightmare, but for the first hour of the day or so, until I focused on other stuff, it kind of haunted me. I have nightmares often, maybe 3-4 times a week, so I guess I have learned to accept them, what else can I do? But I hate them!!!
Your thoughts on interpretations of the dream are welcome, or on anything else to do with this post for that matter. Thanks.
