How Did You Sleep Last Night?

I know this may sound a little hard to believe, but I actually find it almost impossible to get to sleep at night if I don't have a nap around midday or early afternoon.

I also find that my nightmares, even though I don't usually remember them, get much worse after my partner leaves for work.

Does anyone else get like this?

I slept, but I had nightmares. I woke up in that state between awake and sleep. I can't remember what it's called- it starts with an h- I was stuck in the nightmare/flashback for what seemed like forever. I guess I shouldn't have started to write my story two hours before bed. Stupid Jen. Bad Jen.:( I'm an idiot.

At least I didn't stay awake all night? :whistling:

Thanks sleep for reading my note.

Slept a lot. Fighting really awful allergies so I am just exhausted all the time. Allergies and a bug of some kind. I have been having nightmares every night. I can remember bits and pieces - but that is it. I wake up tired. I am always tired. Can't seem to sleep enough.

I can definitely understand where you're coming from Sammy, I always seem to wake every few hours over night, and when I sleep from morning til midday, that's the only time I seem to get any decent sleep, nightmares or not.

Although I am still exhausted now, after getting some sleep this morning! Can never win!

I can't sleep tonight. :( I am in so much pain physically-body memories of physical abuse are coming at me with such intensity. I can't sleep tonight. Caffeine must be found so that I may stay awake. :( I will not sleep at all tonight.

Jen, do you have epsom salts?

Go run yourself a hot bath, and pour in a liberal amount of epsom salts and stir it in.
Find some of your favourite music or a funny book, and relax for a little while, the epsom salts and hot water will help relax your body and help you sleep.

I often wake up sore all over when I dream about the physical abuse, and either a hot shower or bath often helps me fall asleep.

Hope this helps you (((Jen)))
