How Did You Sleep Last Night?

Wow yeah, I was just reading a topic on the web 'what it feels like to have fibromyalgia' and it didn't sound like a walk in the park for sure. I hear there's something you can take for the crazy dreams but I don't know , the crazy dreams don't bother me enough to want to take something for it.. even though they can be disgusting to say the least.
 
I took an Ambien for the first time and it didn't do a thing to me. I laid in bed with my eyes wide open for hours. Awful.
 
*hazen* That sucks about the ambien not helping, you might try to find a way to help you forget you took something to help you sleep. That sometimes helps me, but you could be right, maybe it does nothing for you. Some of those drugs, you can miss your 'window' for sleep if you don't actually fall asleep within an hour.
 
Ohh so true, It's a good idea to not eat before taking your nightly meds, unless the bottle says otherwise. Also it can be hard to get tired if you haven't been awake for at least 16 hours sometimes. The more active work you do during the day the less time you'll need to fall asleep naturally. I think most foods will give you more energy too, kind of confuses the body when you eat right before sleeping.
 
I am sleeping on and off. I have a few nights where I can't sleep at all and then I do better. I have been waking up about every 45 minutes, but have at least been able to return back to sleep. Crossing my fingers sleep with get better soon.
 
I slept well last night...OM goodness did I type "well"? Hmm let me say better than many o nights in a long while. I actually remember only having one dream/nightmare. I remember waking up in a confused state but I used an experience (a positive one just from yesterday) to get beyond it and after the quick trip to the bathroom I layed my head back down to the pillow and fell back asleep. 5.5 hrs of sleep total with only that one interruption. So today I am thankful for the 5.5 hr silent and picture less show and the 2 min intermission was OK as I needed to go to the bathroom anyway.. Sure I wake with the same physical pain but somehow things this morning have a little bit more yellow in them instead of the usual grayish tints.
 
1 1/2 hours before going to bed... then another 7... tossed and turned some, no dreaming that I recall. I was trying to stay mindful of sounds because we tried new food and a supplement for Crystal. I am okay today... but being a bit hypervigilant about her and the dog is wearing me out.
