How Did You Sleep Last Night?

I got about five hours and somehow in that time managed to displace two, maybe three vertebrae and screw up my knee so it's been getting looser and hurting like a bitch all day. Did manage to nap for a few hours this afternoon but the day's pretty much been shot and I haven't gotten anything done. Bah.

Been sleeping and dreaming really well since I started meditating again. Lots of really elaborate and interesting dreams.
(It's been almost 2 years since my ptsd incident)

Still had a nightmare about my Ex hurting me emotionally and physically, about him wanting to see the kids, about him trying to manipulate me and at the end me hurting myself.:(

(((LawPhoto))) I am sorry about the nightmare!! I have them about my ex alot!! I even get warning about him sometimes in my dreams!

On the bright side I am glad you got some sleep! :)

I am sleeping better than I have in years!:) 6-8 hours per day and night! I don't even mind waking up 3 or 4 times a night as long as I can get back to sleep. I never really believed that alcohol bothered your sleep now I know it's true! I just hope I can keep up the sleep. Especially through the holidays when I tend to get so depressed!

I tossed and turned for about 3 hours until I fell asleep around 4am. I had a vivid and bizarre dream. There were two people racing in a convention centre shouting out trivia about the American Revolution. I believe they were history buffs or historians... they were wearing tweed...anyway then the "camera" pans to a room where a little girl in a pink dress and blond curly hair is holding a package of swanson's chicken breast and asks if it means she has a twin sister. Flash. Now we're on a highway in the middle of the night. Just far enough out of the big city to make the lights twinkle in the distance, which is as close to seeing stars as you get within city limits. There has been an accident. A woman in a car eating a pink ice cream crashed into a guy eating blue ice cream. The cops think the ice cream has something to do with it.... I feel like this might be social commentary or critique of some sort... then I woke up. Not the best of sleep, but one interesting dream.

I slept peacefully at 5am. I think I slept peacefully because I was really calm and my insides were quiet. Normally everything feels so chaotic inside and I have to toss and turn it out before I can fall asleep. Sometimes I do that with tears or curling up into a ball until I fall asleep from exhaustion. But last night was different, I put on some light instrumental (sad) music and looked a few polaroids I had shot of myself a few days ago. I made a bunch of faces in the pictures which made me laugh and I just kept smiling. Because I knew that when I looked at myself through the photos, I could barely tell I had been scarred before. I remember once my dad told me that when he saw my pictures, I always looked so sad even through my smiles. So it makes me happy when I see a picture where my eyes can't tell me how sad I am. This is somehow comforting... and keeps me sleeping peacefully. Hope this can help someone else too!

Well. And now I'm up to go to my first class where I can interview people in prison. I'm actually so excited I got up an hour early since I could no longer keep lying there. lol

Wish me luck!

I spent the night dreaming of the truck driver who caused my accident. I kept shouting his name and replaying the accident. It was all jumbled - horrid.

I think it is on my mind as my lawyer is arranging for me to see consultants for medical reports towards my compensation claim. I hope last night was a one off, but as the legal stuff builds up I'm scared I'll dream more.
