How Did You Sleep Last Night?

Six whole hours! Had the strangest dream that I'd been recruited to be a spy against Serbia and couldn't make it to my briefing on time because I was on an island shopping for cake and chatting with Robin Williams who was smoking a joint. LOL. I *knew* I should have not had the garlic bread at dinner... I think garlic has something to do with wierd dreams. But.. I'll take anything that isn't a nightmare these days!!!

That's some dream, Leah :-)

I slept 7.5 hours last night! I began using sound therapy (again) at the beginnning of the week. I had forgotten about it over the last serveral months (no time except for very basic care - one foot in front of the other).

I'm so happy I remembered that brain wave activity can get messed up from trauma, food/drink, anxiety, chemical imbalances and some favorite pastimes, etc. etc. etc. I couldn't find my old / favorite cassette (haaaaha) last night, but found the piece on YouTube - ran it on my laptop, slightly open, then slid the laptop under my bed.
Feeling pretty good today! And glad medical science is finally beginning to relate sound with the ability alter emotions, thoughts and hormones.

I'm in shock. I slept 10 and a half hours. I woke up once. I usually never sleep that long. The night before last I slept for almost 4 hours. And during that day I'd been going in and out of an emotional flashback that had started the day before that even. So I knew I was exhausted. But I'm still shocked at 10 and a half hours and only waking up once. I feel a little tired and foggy so I think it was probably a little too much sleep. But I know I needed it.

Woo-hoo Blackbird! Did you do anything different than you usually do, or had you been very sleep deprived and finally you body said enough, let's shut things down?

The night before last, I was tired and forgot to listen to my tape when I got into bed-only slept five hours (errgh!). But I remembered it last night and slept eight hours-I'll remember to use it again tonight, and the next night, and the next . . .

I definitely think the body took over. I was so exhausted emotionally mentally and physically. Especially since the night before I only got almost 4 hours of sleep. I fell asleep 3 times during the day yesterday for short little naps. I almost never do that either. So I think the body said that's it kid you're sleeping. I also think the fact that I'm dealing with some extra nerve pain from an irritated pinched nerve probably didn't help either.

I slept through the night without the intermittent waking up. I don't know why I wake up throughout the night. For awhile I know I was doing it and making sure my husband was still there. Now, I just do it throughout the night.

Thankfully I'm usually able to go back to sleep. Last night was the first time I slept through the night in a long time, even if I did wake up early.

I had 6 hours sleep with the help of diazepam. I woke up groggy and spacey, knew I would be useless at work, so went back to sleep where I had intermittent dreams until midday.

Feeling bad that I couldn't go to work but grateful that I got some sleep.
