My falling to sleep is better. My Cognitive-Behavioral-Therapy counselor had suggested something I thought was really insipid, but after not taking that advice for a year, I finally tried it.
When 10:00 arrives, I say to myself. "I'm tired. I like sleep. I think I'll go to sleep." Whether I believe it or not.
After doing this for the past three weeks, now it's automatic. Now, I feel like a dope for not trying it sooner. It doesn't work every time, but as soon as I start saying it, I seem to notice that indeed my body feels tired.
Weird.
