Long walk in the woods...
Sat and meditated by the mountain stream that's raging from lots of recent rain fall...
Burned sage and palo santo...
Connected with loved ones...
 
Due to Kidney Disease, I am being taken off several of my medications. I am feeling some pain that I have not felt in years. Instead of trying to block it, I am simply FEELING it for what it is. Pain is not as bad as it is made out to be! I told myself to think of what folks did hundreds of years ago. They used herbs. So I am enjoying some Turmeric Tea too. It has a kind of bitter taste to it, I am tasting that too, not ignoring it.
 
Kept redirecting busy brain back to the purpose/intent of the day. It kept things calm, peaceful and easy going even though things kinda went sideways and not as expected/wanted/needed or desired.
 
Having a pet is a great reason to just naturally fall into mindfulness. When I feed her, I'm just immediately there in the present moment with her. I love petting her when she eats. She arches her back up into my fingers. Her fur is fluffy and soft. She purrs...
