How did you use mindfulness today?

I smudged my space and myself, baked some g/f vegan mini apple/cinnamon loaves to share with others, made lunch for a practitioner I'll be visiting tomorrow, took a walk and noticed every other living thing along the path and expressed gratitude for the messages found in each, breathed deeply and on purpose, and reached out via phone to make contact with someone who lives alone.
 
Doubled up the work gloves, grabbed a long sleeve hoodie, the thickest jeans I've got, my rubber boots and got busy harvesting stinging nettles at a friends' place. Must. Stay. Focused. (or OUCH!)

Having free nettles to dehydrate and make infusions or tinctures with....priceless. It helps me remain mindful of the abundance that surrounds in some of the most obvious places that I used to never pay attention to. Funny how shift happens, ay?
 
I turned off the news, turned on some peaceful music, have lit my light of hope candle, and am sipping English Breakfast tea while I journal and reflect upon a few things. Breathing and just letting the thoughts flow through my mind and heart. Turning the anxiety down a notch from where it was when I flipped around fitfully all night.
 
Deep breathing multiple times (while stretching/driving/waiting in line/talking on the phone), dehydrated more herbs and greens stems (stinging nettle/oregano/holy basil/catnip/kale and chard stems), and stood over the mountain stream on the little bridge thingy and blessed the waters and all the life it supports, as I also asked for forgiveness on behalf of the human race for f*cking so much of it up along the way.
