I've recently gone into bits of childhood stuff, with therapist and I'd like to expand on that with her.

I told my therapist I don't remember the ages the ab*se started. I do remember it it started before I was 13 though....because I remember we moved house before I started high school and it was happening in old and new house. I also remember a song that was being played a lot and that was released when I was 9, I know that's not going to give me a definite age though.
I told her I wanted to start going into all this because I'd been thinking about different bits is but now, I don't even know how to start talking about it. Where do I even start? Can anyone help with where to start?

My T would say that I didn't need to go into the details, that we could talk about the feelings of it all.

Maybe starting by asking exactly what you have asked here with your T?

Going very gently with this will be key. You're opening up a lot of trauma and tiny tiny baby steps will help immensely.

by my measure, you have already begun. believe in your progress and trust yourself to recognize the next step when you are ready for it.

i'll second @Movingforward10 's notion to move in small and gentle steps. be gentle with yourself and patient with the process. there really is such a thing as trying too hard. easy does it.
