How Do You Deal With Difficult People

I'm learning to pick my battles.

People upstairs have a 3 y/o, very cute. I understand she's little but every time she comes in from outside. She rings our doorbell. So, we think someone's here when no one is.

I think her mother should teach her not to touch the doorbell but instead of making a big issue out of it. I just unplugged it. So, she can push it all she wants and we won't be bothered by it anymore.

Now, just have to make sure everyone comes upstairs when visiting 'cause doorbell no longer works.

My landlord really is an a$$hole. She told me awhile ago that she'd be moving out from downstairs apt. Showed me around her place, it is beautiful! 2 bathrooms, a dishwasher etc. She said when she moved I could move downstairs. I'd finally have access to backyard and driveway. 'Cause in the lease it says backyard and driveway goto first floor only.

Hadn't heard anything in awhile so I asked her about a month ago if she was still moving. She told me it would be around March or April. She said no.

Talked to her two days ago. She told me May 1st. that she's moving out. She ALREADY rented the place to someone else. WTF?

Wanted to ask her, "why do you do that, show me around, tell me I can rent it when you move and then you rent to someone else?"

Was so stunned ended up saying nothing. She really is a f*cking b*tch.

Did you piss her off? Not being a dick, on the real. But sometimes you gotta be 'chill' and low key with people to get something nice in return. If you're complaining to housing and calling cops and making it hot, especially in the hood you gonna get less help. Just how things are.

It was an improvement to see a balanced reaction to the 3year old. You didn't call SWAT just handled it. Many things need to be done in the same way. It just makes like easier.
