I'm exhausted - PTSD episodes drain me and I can't sleep. Anthony has been snoring like a freight train and I don't do noise well.

Dear Nicolette, Well.....Maybe my suggestion is needless, for you might already thought about it yourself. What about earplugs? They now exist in so many different shapes and material, that you should be able to find the ones that fits and are as acceptable as possible.

I'm used to them since I was 18, and lived in a hospital's staff residential accommodation and had to deal with lots of different people who had very different tempers and habits. My experience is: The more tired I get, the more sensitive I will become...

I'm thinking of you and really wishing you a very restorative sleep.

Last night was bad.

Hubby was asleep, but not settled, which meant that I could not sleep at all.

4 hours after going to bed and reading for a while, I was still awake, putting up with him moaning and groaning and throwing himself around the bed.

Had another bad nights sleep.

Hubby could not settle again, due to what was going in his head.

Think its time to think about sleeping in the spare room for an odd night, though the bed is not as comfy as our own.

Not a good night at all.

I slept on and off all night, hubby did not sleep at all. He was so awake he got up and stayed up after being in bed an hour or so.

The last few night have been awful.

Hubby has spent the first few hours snoring all the time, nothing stops him, and it keeps me awake. I even went into the spare room last night, but could not sleep because the bed is so not comfy {Note to self, need to buy a new one for when guest come to stay}.

I know what causing his snoring, but there is nothing I can do to stop it at the moment.

Had a good night last night, no snoring from hubby to keep me awake.

More nights like this and I will be fine.

I still use the same guided imagery CD. Same one I posted about here a year ago. For me, it's like a Pavlov's Dogs thing. If I wake because of some weird dream and can't get my head cleared, I use the CD and I am usually asleep before it is at the end of the CD.

I slept in this morning after a rough night with hubby. This meant I missed the grandparents morning at my grandchildren's school.

I suppose I should feel guilty about not going when I said last night I would, but this morning it was more about what I should do, than what I could.
